Main functions and features

Torque limitation and current limitation protection: After applying the torque limitation, the current limitation can be adjusted to protect the inverter and the motor. The following current limitations can be set:

The forward and reverse current limitation values are set independently using parameters (motor current setting).

The current limitation values can be freely entered using connectors, for example from analog inputs or serial ports.

Speed-dependent current limitation: The speed-dependent reduction of the current limitation value for automatic start at high speeds can be parameterized (communication limit curve for motors).

I2t monitoring of the power section: The thermal state of the thyristors is calculated for all currents. When the thyristor limit temperature is reached, the device responds according to the parameterized function, i.e. the inverter current drops to the rated DC current or the device shuts down with a fault message. This function is used to protect the thyristors.

Current controller: The current controller implements a PI controller with P gain and integration time parameters, both of which can be set independently. The actual current value is sensed using current transformers on the three-phase side and fed to the current controller via a load resistor and rectification after analog-to-digital conversion. The resolution of the inverter-dependent current is 10 bits. The current limiting output is used for current setting value.
